Care Home Activities in Southampton

Avon Park Care Home offers a full range of activities all year round to keep our residents entertained and young at heart.

We believe in encouraging individuals to continue a fulfilling and healthy lifestyle and choose our activities to reflect that.

This is a typical programme of care home activities. Popular features have included:
Bingo Exercise to music
Pot planting Music workshops and visiting musicians
Art and cookery sessions Reminiscence activities

Trips to the seaside Visits to country parks and garden centres
Pub lunches Shopping trips
Some of our residents like to join in regularly with our programme, while others select the activities that particularly appeal to them. We leave it up to each individual to choose.

Local Activities in Southampton

Our care home is situated in the popular Park Gate area, which lies between Locks Heath, Warsash and Titchfield. The appeal of this area is easy to understand, with good access to shops, restaurants, leisure activities and the seafront.

The area is also a major centre for watersport enthusiasts with the River Hamble and the seaside resort of Lee-on-the-Solent both nearby. There’s also great walks through local nature reserves, along the river banks, and visits to the seaside all within easy reach.
We frequently take residents out to the local Cricket club, to the Swimming Pool and to the Bowling Alley – it’s great to be able to support the local area when planning our activity timelines!
